Default Q: compiling aips++ on FC5, gcc 4.1.1

I have been trying to compile aips++ (that is casa-19.1488) on
a Fedora Core 5 system with gcc 4.1.1. There is a massive amount of C++
related overloading problems left over that I've dumped into
http://www.strw.leidenuniv.nl/~mathar/progs/aips++.log , after
hacking the installation of auxiliary packages as described in
http://www.strw.leidenuniv.nl/~matha...aips++_fc5.pdf .
Is anyone with related experience out there to provide some hints on
which of the packages have to be edited in which manner to compile?

Richard
