Default 3 Antique Scopes - For Sale!

All,

The Astronomical Society of Harrisburg, founded in 1955, is selling
its 3 remaining Antique Telescopes. The 4th, a Brashear, was sold
years ago to Bart Fried, President of the Antique Telescope Society.

We've worked with Bart to get these up for sale and develop reasonable
starting bids.

If you are interested in getting information on these scopes or
bidding on them please visit:
http://antiquescopes.cjb.net

Bidding will close on November 14, 2002.

The three scopes available a
1) 2.5" Tabletop Queen and Co. Refractor
2) 3" Alt-Az Mogey Refractor
3) 3.5" Equatorial Paul Meyrowitz/Mogey Refractor - Major Historical
Value! Owned by US Senator Donald Cameron (Son of Lincoln's Secretary
of War Simon Cameron) and passed on to his son, James Cameron, former
owner of the now-state-owned mansion at Kings Gap State Park.

A visit to the website just to see the various pictures of these
beautiful instruments is well worth it!

Feel free to pass on this e-mail to any friends you might have that
are interested in antique scopes.

Regards,
Ted A. Nichols II
