If you use AOL, forget newsgroups

Message today says "AOL will discontinue newsgroups early in 2005, we are sorry
for the inconvenience".

I guess I've been too lazy by continuing the AOL service. What alternatives do
you suggest.

Earthlink has excellent newsgroup servers.

AOL has so many problems that I would always recommend dumping it.
However, no matter which ISP you use there are newsgroup alternatives,
such as http://news.individual.net/ .

AOL is CRAP
Why people use it is beyond me
At least half of AstroMart support issues are AOL and less than 10% of the
members
AND it costs more.

they have only partial ngs - synopses of ngs, not complete. I know their
provider..
