All true, but *none* of that matters to the congresscritters who are
dead set on funding it. Their primary goal is spending money in their
congressional districts at approximately the same rate as the defunct
shuttle program. Actually accomplishing something is a distant
secondary goal which is so far off in the future, that it doesn't even
enter their decision making processes.
