I didn't say *manned* spacecraft. Lockheed's been building spacecraft
for decades, including some that failed (which is where most lessons
are learned.) SpaceX is almost completely inexperienced.


Yeah, but manned is a whole other ball of wax, if for no other reason
than the TPS and recovery systems.


Manned is a whole 'nother layer of complication on top of spacecraft
systems, agreed. But if Lockheed still has a lot to learn (as you
imply), then SpaceX has a huge climb ahead of *them*.
