ASTRO: NGC1169 From Colorado Springs
Got this image on 23 Nov. Just one hour of data before high thin clouds
moved in... as they have each and every clear night lately. Seeing was just fair. 12.5" RCOS RC at 114" ST8E/AO7 2x30 min. -- Regards, Doug W. www.photonsfate.com -- |

Interesting field. Like those edge on guys. Seems more than you
normally find in such a field. I'm having the same cloud problem but they are rarely thin. Opaque would be the word. So far so good tonight however. Temp isn't dropping so that is holding off the clouds I get most nights. Rick Doug W. wrote: Got this image on 23 Nov. Beautiful image Doug. Just what I like to see, a nice spiral and some
smaller stuff to go with it. Stefan "Doug W." schrieb im Newsbeitrag ... Got this image on 23 Nov. "Doug W." wrote .... Great image Doug. The theta shaped barred spiral is interesting. The longer of the three galaxies at the right is UGC 2496 that's about 18th magnitude. The other edge-on looks like it might be a companion, but NED shows different red shifts for the two so they are probably not a group. George N |

It is a nice FOV. I put some more time on the target last night but there
is not much improvement even with twice as much time. Seeing is just not that good this time of year. Thanks. -- Regards, Doug W. www.photonsfate.com -- "Stefan Lilge" wrote in message ... Thanks George... From the red shift for the edge on galaxies, I take it
that they might be 350 - 600 Mly distant so not grouped. -- Regards, Doug W. www.photonsfate.com -- "George Normandin" wrote in message ... "Doug W." wrote ... Great image Doug.
