Default Newton's Gravity

Could we say that Newton's gravity fits well with man,and his classical
everyday physics? Newton's gravity lasted for 350 years. Einstien's GR
is more precise,because Einstien knew the universe is a weird place.
Newton's law of gravity can not be used to study the behemoth lurking
at the center of our galaxy. Still Newton so
many years ago wrote a very short sentence. "All matter attracts all
other matter with a force proportional to the product of their masses
and inversely proportional to the square of the distance between them"
Newton had his problems with the classical thinking of others(those that
would rather disagree than think) Newton's mind could not accept action
at a distance. Well without material contact things do get very tricky.
There is very little physical contact between to objects far away from
each other in the vacuum of space. Yet they are in contact with each
other.(no medium needed) Newton had this contact as being
instantaneous. Einstein had it at light speed. Bert
PS I'll throw in my prediction. Gravities force needs no field,or
wave.(weird but reality)

Actually Newton's gravity is still alive and kicking. For most purposed, it
works extremely well today. If I wnated to calculate the Mercury's orbit
precisley, I may take into account Einstein's GR, but for most purposes,
Newtonian gravity works extremely well. I certainly wouldn't worry using it
to calculate a trip to the moon!

Is that really the case. His gravity theory doesn't realy seem to care
(anothropomorhising) about distances He did have some ideas that would be
strange to us, for example his interest in alchemy
