ASTRO: Propeller nebula
Richard,
great picture. I have done the preprocessing on my "propeller" images, but I have more noise and the second half of the session had very blurry stars becaus of focus drift (I didn't have the mirror lock properly engaged, I always fear that I might damage something if I turn it too much). At least in the 14" version you can't over tighten it. Since I only use the 3" Crayford focuser I never release it. but twice a year. The Crayford's range is about 3 cm and that's not enough for summer and winter so each spring and fall I readjust the main focus then relock it. Rick -- Correct domain name is arvig and it is net not com. Prefix is correct. Third character is a zero rather than a capital "Oh". |
