Pyramid on the Moon
Man made out of green and blue glass blocks Just 5 meters high.
Building site should be the exact center of that large crater. Reason for structure is to house a time capsule. Buried under the pyramid floor should be man, woman, and child. Tapes, computers, food, etc Every thing to show the evolvement of humankind on the Earth. It can never be opened by our future generations. It may never be discovered by aliens. Still we need to show our mark. We owe it to the universe. A mark on the moon can last over a billion years. Bert |

No - we don't :-) If you want to make a deep impression make some living being happy (every moment counts!and will be remembered to all eternity). No, that living being will soon die, and all will be forgotten. It's a fundamental human urge to leave one's mark and be remembered by posterity. It's why the pharaohs built the great pyramids. It's why the Chinese built the great wall. It's why Stalin and Mao erected as many statues of themselves as possible. It's why Hitler slapped up swastikas wherever he went. It why Kilroy wrote his name on lavatory walls around the world. It's why Saddam inscribed his name on every brick used to build his many palaces. It's this fundamental need to say I was here, I made a difference, I left my mark! Your friendly U.C. (Universal Consciousness) Are you God? |

The Chinese built the Great Wall not to be remembered for posterity but to protect themselves from invaders. Stalin and Mao had that mania to force themselves upon the consciousness of their captives within the nations they tyrannized. Kilroy did not write his name on lavatory walls around the world: many different soldiers did, as a running gag. As for Saddam, aside from being crazy as a loon, he had major problems with his ego. With him I might almost agree with you that he was desperate to leave his mark... ---Mac ******************** |

Charles B Your UC is pushing the deep end of the Anthropic principle to
infinity. Words are lost (thoughts). The great pyramid is decaying away by the erosion. The moon makes the best place for our "mark" I like a pyramid on the moon. Can't decide if I want to build it with 3 or 4 sides. We could manufacture the glass from the moon's own material. That would save a lot of energy. Give the people at our moon base something interesting to do.(free labor) That is why Earth pyramids were build. Lots of free labor, and a few great thinkers, make every thing possible in time. Bert |

No Bert, UC is a fact - which you can verify all by yourself. There are millions of ways to get into contact with it. Unlike all concepts of "god" this is a scientifically provable reality. And "it" is in no way "anthropic" ... what makes it sometimes so difficult for humans to grasp {there are so many "soul-parts" from non-human lives included that your daily consciousness often rejects it as too strange}. Bert I will not speak against your pyramid on the Moon - but it's as funny as any other human creation in history. As funny as a massive comet smashing into the earth, blasting away all forms of life, to be scattered amid frozen water and rock, to be replanted elsewhere in the universe, to start again, without proof of it ever existing in the first place. |

Wouldn't it be better to build it out of concrete? Hi BV I like glass covering a silver mirror. Aliens would see it like a
diamond from far away. It should have no door. It should point towards Earth. It should be the tomb for all the astronauts that died before 2003. It should have a dome with a very sharp point. The dome made of blue that matches the shade of blue Earth as seen from the moon. It should have moon rovers parked outside. Armstrong's boots Golf balls Mars blueberries all incased in glass as the aliens walk around the pyramid. Name to be given this pyramid "Glazion" Named after its chief artuteck |
