First of all Buzz was adamant that he can't see any reason
to go back to the Moon.

Buzz Aldrin's a bitter douche. ÊFirst, I've seen interviews where he
whined like a bitch about not being first out the door, so either he's
convinced himself otherwise in his fog of senility or he's outright
lying.

Second, I find it curious that he's out spewing this **** the day
after Neil Armstrong made a very rare public comment on Obama killing
the Constellation program.

And maybe the old coot has a plan for getting to Mars, but from all
I've read, the moon landing would be a stepping stone project to shake
out the bugs in a mission of colonizing in extreme conditions and
relying on water ice to produce oxygen for breathing and fuel.

Aldrin should stick to the corny reality shows and washed up talk host
interviews...

The canceled project was another flags and footprints
make work project which was under funded and behind
schedule. What is needed is both lower cost ways
up to orbit and then a massive craft with something
on a minimum such as Vasimr propulsion and vast better
radiation shielding both active and passive. Nor is this
all that is needed as the next thing would be a
Mars rated reusable landing module.

And finally there is the need for some exploitable resources.
That implies a transport vessel for some sort of refined product
for the return trip.

Space travel mean colonizing a rat hole under the surface
of some very bleak and distant
place..................................Trig

Regardless of all that, I heard today that Barry was speaking out of
the other side of his mouth saying that he wants the US to be at the
forefront of space exploration. *Plus he's going to bail out the space
coast.

It never ends...

Well you're tone seems pitch perfect to me at this point. You're
looking at this
moment in time and I am looking at
the long haul.
