SPACE STATION CREW TALKS WITH EDUCATORS

More than 700 educators are meeting this week at the 10th
Annual International Space Station Educators Conference at
Space Center Houston. Educators will learn how to use the
International Space Station to inspire students' interest in
science and mathematics.

Friday, from 8:50 to 9:10 a.m. EST, educators will have a live
conversation with Space Station Expedition 8 Commander/ NASA
Station Science Officer Michael Foale and Russian Flight
Engineer Alexander Kaleri. The crew has been aboard the Station
since October.

The event is live on NASA TV, which is available on AMC-9,
transponder 9C, C-Band, located at 85 degrees west longitude.
The frequency is 3880.0 MHz. Polarization is vertical, and
audio is monaural at 6.80 MHz.

Participants from the United States, Canada, Europe and Japan,
will tour astronaut training facilities and attend hands-on,
interactive sessions designed to introduce them to potential
lessons to use in the classroom, such as building and launching
rockets, making their own spacesuits, assembling a Space
Station model, and preparing astronaut food.
