a comet could hit ocean and create an ice age because of cold water at
bottom of ocean

You might compare the magnitude of heat absorbed by a given
mass of ice as it melts with the magnitude of heat released
when that mass decelerates from 20,000 MPH plus to zero MPH
during the impact.

Saturn's rings are made of ice. I propose that we divert Saturn's outermost
ring by ion propulsion engines, slamming into the Earth in an attempt to
stave off global warming.
