Default Does Stuff in Space need Shielding

Lets take that lady astronaut thats been going around the Earth for a
record breaking time. Is her blood count good. Bone structure good.
Brain cells good. Glands working good. Breasts no cancer cells. Do
computer need shielding. They might be effected by space radiation. ??
Might be best if future space ships were made of lead. Might be best for
the Chinese to build their Moon base in the shadow of a hill
