By right the rotation relative to the orbital plane should presently show a Southwest to Northeast rotation with the same 23 1/2 degree inclination as the South pole has turned across the fully illuminated face from September to this March.

Lovely to see at one time lapse showing the relationship between the Earth and the orbital plane but the current EPIC image of the Earth is otherwise with its abysmal zero degree inclination.

Whatever possesses the space agency to drift between spectacular accurate imaging to manipulated rubbish is a subject of a topic in itself yet there is nothing stopping these people from presenting an accurate relationship between rotational orientation and the orbital plane.

The traits of daily rotation and orbital motion play out in the fully illuminated face of the Earth so the manipulation of satellite imaging and all the technology behind it should be dismaying or worse.

With the North and South poles about to turn through the circle of illumination, what would it take to accurately represent the orientation with its 23 1/2 degree inclination ?. Nothing, it would take nothing is the answer yet not a responsible person around to do it.

It would still be a wonderful affirmation of the Earth's variable orbital speed first suggested by Kepler, I mean the surface rotation in response to the orbital motion of a planet.

Using the circle of illumination or lack of a visible one, Uranus provides an ideal affirmation as the planet turns parallel to the orbital plane at an average of 4 degrees per Earth year and making a full 360 degrees in 84 years. Its distance is so far from Earth that perspective changes owing to the Earth's orbital motion do not affect observations nor conclusions -

For so many people siphoning a living from hyping Kepler, it must be humbling to have this new facet explained in general and in detail.
