Default 10" Mirror spotty

It's in a 12-year-old Meade Starfinder. It has had two cleanings, the last
one a couple years ago. Looking down the tube it looks very dirty but not
like dust. I think it's actually the coating. It may be affecting the
image. It seems clear with eyepieces over about 15mm but even in the
daytime looking only a couple miles away I can't seem to focus with
eyepieces under about 10mm. I've looked around on the internet and haven't
found any place I can send it. Are there any recommendations where I can
send it to get polished or re-coated or whatever has to be done?

Try http://www.freenet.tlh.fl.us/~blombard/#MC for a list of recoaters.

However, even with a bad coating, you should be able to focus. Without any
coating you should be able to focus, just with a dim image. I would wonder
about the quality of the optics.
