Default Dear, respected corporate employees, veterans, our colleagues, friends and like-minded persons!

Dear, respected corporate employees, veterans, our colleagues,
friends and like-minded persons!

The April 12, 1961 orbital flight accomplished by Vostok manned spacecraft
with Yuri Alexeyevich Gagarin onboard, which had been the natural result of
the painstaking efforts made by our enterprise's team, as well as the
skilled engineers, scientists, the military, workers and employees from
industrial enterprises, the national research and military agencies, opened
up new boundless opportunities for our civilization in development of the
universe.
Launches of the world's first artificial earth satellites, the pioneer
orbital human space flights, developing of new space research and
application directions, among which are the launches of the pioneer
scientific earth satellites, automatic stations towards the Moon, Venus,
Mars, the national Molniya communication satellites, and Zenit observation
satellites had heralded a new space age in the human history.
The forty three years have passed since the historical event of launching
the world's first Vostok manned spacecraft, during which the mankind
switched from infrequent space flights to regular on-orbit service. Space
communication and navigation, environmental monitoring, satellites of
weather observation, monitoring, warning and a lot of other things - all
constitutes an integral part of modern society vital activities.
During all those years elapsed, our team was not fully satisfied with the
results achieved, had been in the process of looking for and finding the
solutions to the most critical and key problems, determining space high-tech
directions, whether it be the development and a 15-year operational use of
the Mir manned orbital station, the pioneer international research center in
near-earth space; the development and pioneer launches of the Energia-Buran
reusable space system, or the development and start of the Rocket Segment
utilization under the Sea Launch Project, the International Space Station
Russian Segment, a new generation of the Yamal communication satellites. All
the programs implemented were based upon the long-standing experience
acquired by RSC Energia's team, which had always maintained the best
traditions of OKB-1 established by S.P. Korolev, to which contributed
greatly further unique developments.
As our scientific and technical potential continues to develop and improve
and our organization's specialists are known for their highest skill, it
becomes possible today to set yet more complicated tasks in the near and
long-term perspective.
First of all, these tasks deal with the development and manufacture in the
immediate future of a new generation of the dedicated satellites based upon
universal space platform Viktoria, the first models of which were certified
for flight as part of the Yamal-100 and Yamal-200 communication satellites.
We in collaboration with the colleagues from GNP RKTs Ts SKB - Progress are
currently in the process of designing of space-purpose rocket Onega, which
is supposed to be a thorough modernization of highly reliable Soyuz rocket
based upon the Korolev's Rocket R-7 - the famous rocket created by the team
of the well-known OKB-1. The efforts are currently under way to create
reusable manned six-seat spacecraft Kliper, which is going to oust 3-seat
Soyuzes in the next decade. Also the work is in progress to develop advanced
large-scale space antennas for new-generation satellites. Within the
framework of the Russian and foreign partners we propose to develop the
Rocket-Space Complex 'Land Launch', which is supposed to function as a
continuation of the Sea Launch Project at Baikonur Cosmodrome. Also the
studies are being conducted and design work is in progress to create the
national Orbital Manned Complex and its related transport-engineering
support system based upon the Kliper spacecraft and a new orbital transfer
vehicle Parom. In addition, we can purpose the rational design solutions for
interplanetary manned complex intended to perform flights to Mars. Of no
less importance are our studies of new approaches to the traditional design
solutions and the global problems, involving the Earth protection from
collision with large heavenly bodies (asteroids, comets), exploration of the
Moon, disposal in space of especially hazardous radioactive waste of nuclear
industry, illumination of near-arctic regions from near-earth orbit,
electric power generation in space and its transmission to the Earth.
Looking into these problems by the earth men is the matter of the
foreseeable rather than distant future.
And, finally, our corporation is engaged in designing and manufacturing if
products having nothing to do with space industry and yet meeting the
world's highest standards in quality, which indicates that our team is able
to master and introduce modern high technologies within the shortest
possible time into the production of the consumer goods, which are in great
demand both in the Russian market and abroad, including prosthetic -
orthopedic products, cooking processors, vacuum cleaners, water filters,
hydrogen power plants, etc.
In view of the occupational holiday coming on-the Cosmonautics Day, which
has become, as a matter of fact, the national holiday, we extend our sincere
thanks to the Corporation's veterans and employees for their devotion to the
cause, their selfless work, which make it possible for our Corporation as
the complicated scientific-production complex and the Russian leading
enterprise in rocket and space industry to continue and develop its efforts
to create and use modern high technologies, while maintaining its leadership
in cosmonautics not only in our country, but worldwide as well.
We express our profound gratitude to the teams of the industry-wide
enterprises and organizations, our foreign partners, who took part and are
now participating in the efforts under the complex space projects.
With all our heart we extend our thanks to those, who understand the
existing problems of today's cosmonautics and support our efforts aimed to
resolve them, including the problems we encounter when implementing
different joint programs and projects.
We wish the employees and veterans of S.P. Korolev RSC Energia, our
counterparts, friends and like-minded persons good health, achievements in
their creative work, happieness, success, well-being!
Best wishes on this festive occasion, dear friends!

Management of S.P. Korolev RSC Energia.
