Default Shooting stars

Is there any particular events on at the moment, as the last couple of
nights I have witnessed many showers to my North.

i saw a nice meteor on friday night. It was 02:45 saturday morning, it was
travelling north to south and it was going so fast, was rather low, lowest i
have ever seen and it was very bright.
I thought it lit up the ground beneath it, but expect i just got over
excited and carried away with it.
I **** myself tho!
