Where is the Kepler space craft located?
Is Kepler in a stationary position somewhere? How far from the sun? Does
it orbit the sun? |

I had read about 6 hours before I was to give a sky show that the Russian Luna 1 spacecraft was the only artificial satellite in space that was in orbit around the sun. It was launched in 1959. About 15 minutes before leaving to set up for the show, I thought about Kepler. I didn't have much time on Google to figure out where it was, so punted to this NG. The book I had read that statement in was written 2-3 years ago. Luna 1 is some place between earth and mars. |

Then you should read better sources. Herschel, Planck, SOHO, Venus Climate Orbiter, Juno, Mars Science Laboratory, Ulysses, Kepler spring to mind.
