Default End of Easy SETI CLI

Hello all,

With this post I wanted you all to tell that I have decided to end the Easy
Seti CLI... As you all know by now, BOINC has started the 22nd of june, so
there is no need any more to continue my installation program. I will pull
the plug on approx. the 10th of july, which is the date that my program
exists 2 years. I know there are several people here who used(s) the Easy
SETI CLI, so decided to post here.

Maybe some nice stats (no brag :-)):

Number of installations since july 10 2002: 30976 (not much, but most/all of
those people were satisfied ). Busiest day: September 20 2003 (92
installations). Countries of origin:

1. USA 13115 42.3%
2. UK 4752 15.3%
3. Netherlands 4698 15.2%
4. Canada 1493
5. Australia 823 2.7 %
6. Germany 697 2.3 %
7. Belgium 645 2.1 %
8. Sweden 520 1.7 %
9. Denmark 309 1.0 %
10. Italy 263 0.8 %

and 78 other countries!

I hope you all had a great time doing the classic S@H with my Installation
Program and hope you all appreciate the time and effort I and other people
(Michael Ober and Roelof Engelbrecht above all) have taken to enlighten your
S@H life :-). I wish you all good luck if you switch to BOINC (if you don't,
I still wish you all well :-))

Well Marcel, I for one would like to thank you for the work you did putting
this package together. If it wasn't for you then I probably wouldn't have
installed the CLI and would have crunched far fewer units.

I wish you all the best in whatever you do.

Marcel,

Will you still maintain the Easy SETI Installer site? If not, please zip it
up and email it to me. I'll put it up on the SETI Driver site until SETI
Classic actually ends.

I think it's worth mentioning there is a boinc CLI out there... there's
also a network set up to provide for downloads of boinc-related programs
(see http://www.boinc.dk/index.php?page=mirror_file_list) and a
consolidated place to find such things.

You may not even want to continue... that's fine... but if you wish to
keep providing a similar service, boinc could probably take advantage of
it. :-)
