ISS Crew Conducts Experiment, Installs Cables

Expedition 10 Commander Leroy Chiao and Flight Engineer Salizhan Sharipov
began Wednesday by participating in a routine Russian biomedical assessment.
Later, Sharipov participated in a Russian biomedical experiment that is
studying the heart at rest during space flight. During the experiment
session, Chiao served as the crew medical officer.

Sharipov continued the cable installation for an onboard equipment support
system in the Zvezda Service Module. He also performed routine maintenance
on the Station's carbon-dioxide removal system.

Meanwhile, Chiao completed the charging of batteries for the Extravehicular
Mobility Units -- U.S. spacesuits -- aboard the Station. Chiao also prepared
ISS laptops for an upcoming reconfiguration and filled out the weekly food
questionnaire that helps ground personnel keep track of his nutritional
intake.
