Default Question

I got a 2inch 25mm Rini EP , as my F5 scope has a 2inch EP holder I figured
to give one a try. I got it from ebay. Now tonight I tryed using it and this
is what happened, I had to move the ep outward in the holder until it was at
lest 1/2 the way out and then tighten the set screw to hold it before I
could get a clear view of the stars, I looked at venus, then M42 (SMALL!)
and a few other stars. Now a guy showed up one night with a new 2inch and we
tryed it out on the same scope and the ep was all the way in and gave good
views, so I am now wondering about this one, has anyone ever used this kind
of ep before?
There's 3 lens innside it, two of them seem to be the same, with the 3rd
being a wide and thick one. Or could this ep be made for any other kind of
scope?

Hi:

This is normal for some of the longer focal length Rini eyepieces. As
long as you can get it to focus by not inserting it all the way in the
focuser, it shouldn't really be a problem.

Thanks, I was wondering if something like that was it or not, I'd never seen
a Rini before so it was a new thing for me.
