Default NGC 2359 - More big images from small telescopes

NGC 2359, Thor's Helmet an emission nebula in Canis Major.

An extremely hot Wolf-Rayet star excites this faint wind-blown nebula
in Canis Major. There is strong Hydrogen Alpha and OIII emission as
can be seen in the animation.
