Default The Firebird Nebula in Orion?

The APOD today shows a beautiful shot of the Orion Nebula.
Has anyone noticed that it actually resembles a vast bird
in space... its head and beak is on the upper left and
cocked slightly back and facing left... a violet throat
and breast, and its upper wing curving up and back to
the right, its lower wing curving down and then back
to the right. The leading wing edges share the common
arc of a circle.

Seems fitting, since the entire region is a stellar
nursery full of star-eggs and hatchlings.
