ASTRO: NGC 6302 (the "bug nebula")
Here's a picture with the 14" Meade ACF at Kiripotib farm in Namibia,
showing the "bug nebula" NGC 6302 in the southern part of Scorpius. I took a series of 30 second exposures to try to beat the seeing and guiding errors. NGC 6302 "Bug nebula" Date 31.05.2011 Location Kiripotib, Namibia Meade 14" ACF at 2340mm focal length (APCCDT67 reducer) camera/filters SXV-H9, Baader LRGB 15x30 seconds each mount/guiding MK100/OAG/Lodestar/AstroArt5 http://ccd-astronomy.de/temp5/6302colourgut.jpg Stefan |

You can really perceive the 3D aspect of the clouds reflecting the light from the star. |

Thanks Geoff.
It is a nice target for imaging.
