Bravo Moortel! Only a few years ago you and your brother zombie Sam
Wormley were rather confused about "velocity" and "speed" - both of
you believed that, although in his 1920 "Relativity" Einstein says the
velocity of propagation of light "varies with position" in a
gravitational field, the speed of light remains constant. So Master
Tom Roberts had to teach you additionally:

Sam Wormley wrote on sci.physics.relativity:
"Valev confuses *velocity* of light with *speed* of light!"
Tom Roberts explained to Sam Wormley and Dirk Moortel:
"AFAIK Einstein basically thought in German, which does not have
different words for "speed" and "velocity" ("die Geschwindigkeit" is
used for both). Certainly his "velocity of propagation" could be
phrased as "speed of propagation" without changing the underlying
physics." Tom Roberts

Einstein's original paper used "V" as the velocity of light, one
would have to wonder why he did not use G for Geschwindigkeit.
Then again English capitalises pronouns and Deutsche kaputalizes nouns.

Dork Van de local village idiot calls these semantics "fumbles"
and writes to his web page anything he personally disagrees
with, expecting others to see it his way. He is unable to
clearly and logically state what it is he finds to be a fumble.
Perhaps the light goes to A from B rather than from B to A,
both of which are backwards.

"This is PHYSICS, not math or logic, and "proof" is completely
irrelevant." -- Humpty Roberts.

This is PROOF, not mangling English, and "physics" is completely
irrelevant." -- Androcles.
