Thanks but I only tried to get the galaxy color right and the stars were
ignored when working on the color. I am getting the knack of it a bit
better. Have a few tweaks yet but have another galaxy that's also part
of the M81 group but not featured here for some time, that I've seen
anyway, that also has good color balance. These are much higher in the
sky than the ones I was having trouble with, almost overhead. I'm
wondering if that might have something to do with it. I'll post it in
the next day or two when I get time to work on it again. Each time I do
it, it comes out a bit better, why I don't know as I think I'm doing it
the same.

I'm going to have to make it a practice to take my pictures while I
sleep. I seem to do my best work when sleeping..........

I guess so Rick! That's a really fine image!

I'd say I didn't lose any sleep over it but with the roof open I don't
sleep very well. Once, even up and working in the control room I took a
30 minute frame that seemed very faint. This was before the
Robo-focus so I went to refocus but no object. Nothing will get
anything to appear. I run out to see what's wrong and it is pouring! I
was working low so the dew shield kept the optics dry but the camera was
very wet inside. Dried it out and it worked again. That was the ST-7
that got soaked. Anyway, since that night sleeping isn't easy with the
roof open. Especially when it is pointed nearly straight up as it was
for this shot. I do have to get a cloud sensor. Then I'll worry it
isn't working and still not sleep well.

Right now it is snowing lightly with temp about -23C. Winter finally
arrived.

Rick,

that's a beautiful M82. Nice detail in all the dust.

High in the sky I can seem to get the colors much better than when low.
I have a couple more from the M81 group in process, one about done.
I'll be posting one or both in the next few days.
