Default ASTRO: NGC 6888, The "Crescent Nebula" in Cygnus

Taken under near-full moon. A 10:10:15 RGB image with an STL-1301E camera
and a 20-inch RC Cass working at around F/5. The focal reducer was never
intended for this use/scope, and that may explain why flat-fielding
brightened up the corners too much.

Very nice image George. Very good signal for a RGB image. A "pure" RGB sure
makes colour processing easier, but none of my colour images would have
enough signal to look good without an additional "L" image.

Stefan,

When I finally got to processing this one I was disappointed that the
nebula was so dim. Then I checked the date/time and realized that it was
taken under nearly full moon conditions. Imaging like that makes me realize
what big city astronomers like you have to deal with all of the time!
