Default grinding mirrors

I am thinking of grinding and polishing a 10" mirror. Where can I purchase
this and about how much is the cost? Is there a website which shows how this
is done?
thanks

There are lots of websites about this. Do a google search on
amateur telescope making. Newport glass sell mirror kits of various sizes.
You wont save much, if any money over buying a Chinese dob though. It's
more a matter of the satisfaction of "do it yourself" telescope making.

You can obtain what you need from Newport Glass Works
http://www.newportglass.com/

But I wouldn't start with a 10" if it is your 1st mirror. I am currently
working on a 6" with plans later to step up to an 8 or a 10", then
ultimately a 12". There are several books that include information on
mirror grinding and all of them suggest starting with a *small* mirror
first.

But on the other hand, you will learn a lot more, and if you do it
right you'll achieve far better quality optics.
Go for it.

Check your local library for a book named "Standard Handbook for Telescope
Making." I believe the author's last name is "Howard." This is a great
book which I used to make two very fine 8 inch newtonians.
