My opinion is acids reacting to light/heat stimulus led to the formation
of the first 'life'. But school is still out.

However one thing is certain, life did not arise from crystals.

When we trace the first cells to the first microbes To the first
primordial hydrogen uniting with carbon.Begs this question."How long
after the BB did the very first action to give the universe life was the
time lapse?" TreBert

David Life stated with one cell bacteria that could eat rock, and rock is clay.Bacteria even today likes undergound living.Likes to live under the ocean floor. That we now see clearly in heat vents. Some bacteria does not like oxygen,Yet it can create oxygen. Keep in mind there was a time Earth's air was thinner and had only 1% oxygen. Living under ground was in. David I like clay it fits.Acid fits.(AMINO) Chemicals had to reproduce, and stick together.Chalk must have been made from the first multi-cell life forms.(clams) Its a thin line where molecules on inorganic chemicals could reproduce, and that of producing molecules of life. Amino acid + clay + warm water + protection from harmful radiation goes well with Earth reason for being organic.. TreBert

The first cells to arise on the primordial Earth needed nutrients from
their surroundings in order to grow and reproduce long enough to evolve
complex proteins. Yet the membranes that encapsulate modern cells need
complex proteins to act as pores that let these nutrients pass into the
cells. Presumably, primitive cells wouldn’t have had these sophisticated
pore proteins, so scientists have wondered how the first living cells
managed to get nutrients from their environment.

Bacteria came much later you idiot
