Default Unscheduled double flare

Completely by chance, observed a bright double flare at about
0020 UT Oct 1, from between Washington DC and Richmond VA
looking NE, appearing between gamma and epsilon Cass,
both about the same brightness, brighter than mag 0 and
about 2 degrees apart, almost vertically oriented to each other,
then fading as they traveled toward the NE horizon.

Heavens Above had no prediction for that time. It was
a fun, unexpected spectacle. I can't imagine it being
anything other than a pair of Iridiums.
