Default Mars Express radio link with Mars Rovers

I can't find any hint that the Mars Express spacecraft can serve as a
radio link between the rovers and Earth. Anyone know?

I think I read something about it
the radio link has already been used .. am I wrong ??

Yes, MER can relay through all three orbiters. Beagle could communicate
through MO and MEX.

Not to my knowledge. MO has tried to contact and command B2, MEX has
attempted to communicate with B2. MGS and MO is commonly used to relay from
MER.

It is intended to at least demonstrate forward commanding of MER (little
more amitious than relay). I've not heard if the MEX team has offered the
B2 bandwith to the MER team or if they have asked for it. It might be more
intresting as they get more of a crunch after Oppertunity landing. MEX is
besides not in a particular good relay orbit compared to the other two.

Sincerely

Radio relay via Mars Odyssey is being used quite heavily, but not via
Mars Express. I think relay via Mars Express is possible in principle,
but it adds enough complications -- e.g., trans-Atlantic coordination --
that it's not standard procedure.

One of the engineering goals of MER is to demonstrate relay capability
at least once with Mars Express MELACOM.

I found this :

Mars Express will be able to forward data and messages between Earth
and NASA's Rovers, if needed, and Beagle 2 can do the same via Mars
Odyssey as well as Mars Express. Only Nozomi, which was launched too
early to be included in the communications scheme, will look after its
own data relay requirements alone.

Future missions are expected to follow a communications standard
compatible with that now adopted by ESA and NASA, thus giving Mars
Express and Mars Odyssey the potential of maintaining a useful role as
communications relays long after their scientific missions have ended.

so we have 3 orbiters able to relay and command the landers , this is a
great achievement in fact and a good assurance for future mission

how many years are supposed to survive these orbiters , would some of
them survive until new missions/windows ?
