Elliptical Galaxies, and Quasars to Tell Distance
Looking at a picture I have of quasar 1007+417 The picture was taken
by the "Very Large Array radio telescopes.(false coloring added) It easy to theorize BH gravity is creating a hot disk outside its event horizon;.(way outside ) This can be made to show distance.Coming closer to home we have Radio Galaxies. Best to keep in mind we expect to see light from galaxies, after all their structure is billions and billons of stars. We know there are active galaxies that prodoce a much wider range of EM radiation, and not just optical. This radiation is located near the core. You see good science tells us at the center is a BH We will use BH to tell distance. We know the hole itself is black but the energy it produces from the BH gravity as it shreads the stars around it (before swallowing) is very hot. Bert |
