I heard that there were videos on YouTube "debunking" the Cavendish experiment, and indeed there a

I need to get rid of the graffiti you scrawl so as you constantly put your version of the Equation of Time in front of me, you now get to explain to your empirical buddies that absolute/relative time is just an expression of the timekeeping facility and equalizes the variations in the natural noon cycle to a 24 hour average and into the Lat/Long system - "Absolute time, in astronomy, is distinguished from relative, by the equation of time. For the natural days are truly unequal, though they are commonly considered as equal and used for a measure of time; astronomers correct this inequality for their more accurate deducing of the celestial motions...The necessity of which equation, for determining the times of a phænomenon, is evinced as well from the experiments of the pendulum clock, as by eclipses of the satellites of Jupiter." Principia I could have done this at any time before now but consider a sci-fi nuisance to be simply not worth it. Scream away to yourself because you either support abolition of the Equation of Time as the relativists have it or support Newton's dumb expression of the Equation of Time . |

Except perhaps that it takes the 24 hour average as fundamental, as what time really is, and the natural noon cycle as something secondary - because it is a result of the particular orbit of the Earth around the Sun. It seems that you think it should be the other way around. I would try to explain to you why that makes no sense, but you are unwilling to listen. John Savard |

So now you recognize Newton's description of the Equation of Time which is good as you know more than the relativity clowns who never knew what absolute/relative time represents. So go ahead, explain to everyone what the difference between the natural day and 24 hour day is reflected in absolute and relative time - "Absolute time, in astronomy, is distinguished from relative, by the equation of time. For the natural days are truly unequal, though they are commonly considered as equal and used for a measure of time; astronomers correct this inequality for their more accurate deducing of the celestial motions...The necessity of which equation, for determining the times of a phænomenon, is evinced as well from the experiments of the pendulum clock, as by eclipses of the satellites of Jupiter." Newton, Principia The others are not so stupid as to be drawn into the description so scream away, you get to recognize the Equation of Time which is a timekeeping facility and not a definition of time. The truth is that a sci-fi mentality is so vapid and lacking foundation that it is a waste of my time. |
