In article ,

Toxic dusts.

The four problems they list can be mitigated through proper engineering,
procedures, and etc.

1. Radiation - When in "deep space", water makes for a good radiation
shield. When on a planet, local "soil" does the same (as does the
planet itself which essentially shields you from 1/2 the "sky".

2. Dust - Newer designs for "suit locks" minimize exposure to the
outside of suits, and therefor to dust.

3. Space junk - Radar tracking plus MMOD protection, already standard
operating procedure for ISS.

4. Zero gravity - Spin the darn spacecraft. It worked for the space
station in 2001 a Space Odyssey! :-)

than advanced airbreathing engines, and so are the tanks to put it in
and the extra thrust to carry it." - Henry Spencer
