Default astrophotography

Some weeks ago I was advised to get a website and start posting my pictures
there. Well. at last and with a little help from friends I now have a rather
primitive website which appears to work. I have posted 4 lunar photos there
and I would welcome comments. The site is www.littletank.org

two comments from me....

1. Don't compress the images so much, there's a loss of quality and a keen
eye can pickout.

2. Take more images, these are good. Nice and sharp. How did you take
these?

Nice pictures Norman,

Bit too much compression - St Davids has "broadband" now too I think.

Where did you take them, out at the airfield ?

Thank you for your encouragement. I used the afocal method with a 200 mm
dobsonian telescope and a 20 mm eyepiece. The camera, a bottom of the range
Sony digital, was held in position using a support bought from BC&F. To
avoid camera shake the 10 sec delay was used and the exposure etc was
determined automatically. The telescope was focussed and the focuser locked
in position before the camera was lined up.

Thanks for your nice comment. We do not yet have 'broadband' but expect to
be connected in August, BT willing.

I find it somewhat difficult to get around these days, arthritis and all
that, so these shots were taken in my backyard. My view is somewhat
restricted but we manage.
