Don't know about J C Penney. They gave me a new card about a year ago. I used to buy some things there. But their prices are too high for me now. I thought I could still use their card at Rite Aid, but I no longer can.

I got a kickback when I got my Walmart card, but I think it was only $15. They suckered me into buying some stuff there, but it too them 3 months to give me my kickback! I like their price on tomatoes and bottles of wine.

44F as of 2:15 here in Gresham. Cloudy but still dry. Yesterday the east wind blew so hard and cold, I just stayed home. It blew over 100 mph through the Columbia Gorge! Today it's down to 17 mph and dropping off. Humidity 64%. Some rain probable for tomorrow.

Gresham's mayor, Shane Bemis, was reelected. He has already been in office 16 years. Because of the system the politicians have put in place, local local officials can cowardly hide behind the label of "nonpartisan", so I can not tell whether Bemis is a Democrat/Socialist, or a GOP Mafia. But he owns an Italian restaurant in the middle of Gresham, and that fits with Mafia. I voted for the other guy, who didn't bother to shave before having his campaign picture taken!

Why on Earth did the people of Florida vote to abolish greyhound racing? I still miss the greyhound track that used to be just over the hill from me!

A dreary day here in Gresham. Cloudy and foggy, but rain has stopped. Very calm. Humidity 85%. Some California smoke mixed in with the haze.

Sounded like a hundred geese flying over as I walked towards the library! They fly low over Gresham. They know they are safe from hunters here.

Had a good lunch with Kim yesterday. Kim is interested in running one of the TriMet transit centers' snack shops. She could sleep there also, and shower at a nearby athletic club. If they would let her sell cigs there, it would be a plus. Pot, all the better!

Seagal,Lansky, and Luciana were big when the 4 families merged with the GOPers. All three were in Texas when Kennedy was killed.Hmmm Still top gun was Walter Annenberg, and Kissenger.Nixon was used so the GOP Mafia could take over NASA.The rest is history. Jewish brains and Italian bronze it was called.

Maybe the assassination was just the final stage of a long lasting mob war, Joe Kennedy being in the Irish Mafia branch, notorious bootlegger and stock manipulator that he was!

Weather staying much the same. They claim asmany as 1,000 might have been killed by all the fire and smoke.Homeless people living in tents are hard to count. Bert

Why do they need tents? They're in sunny California! I never used a tent during my homeless years, even here in cold and rainy Oregon!

Today again clear, sunny, 50F, and east wind at 21 mph as of 2:00 PM here in Gresham. Humidity 52%.

Double-A

Its crazy they still talk about rain, and that gives them tents.Weather man on TV claims rain for Thanksgiving. Six people bet me he is right. So for even money 10 dollar bets I took. It has to rain enough for car wipers. No more no less.If I lose its only $60 and I like the action. Also by paying them its good advertising and a bookie needs that. Bert O ya it for Anaheim, and Fullerton only.

We had plenty of rain on Thanksgiving. Storm came through in the afternoon.. I went out in the morning to buy a tray of chicken and nuts, some high gravity beer, and then enjoyed the day watching football! I think I had a better time than those who have to put up with a bunch of relatives!

Friday I enjoyed our Ducks vs. Beavers Civil war game. Those Beavers really do have to get more competitive. I guess their new coach is working on it.

Sounds squalid. Here they may turn a jail they build but never used into a homeless shelter. Do you think they would really like it there behind bars? Your van sounds like a better solution. Maybe they could turn a fleet of old vans into shelters for the homeless. Why not?

Calm here before a coming storm. Now 51F as of 2:00 PM here in Gresham. Overcast and still dry, but rain is expected soon. Humidity 68%.

It is hard to believe you could make it to over ninety eating the food at McDonalds! Might be careful though about giving up drinking. That may be what's been keeping you alive! What do doctors know?

Now a warm 56F here in Gresham as of 1:45 PM. Rained all night. Now occasional showers. Wind south at 6 mph. Humidity 76%.

Patients who bury their doctors is better to hear of than doctors who bury their patients.

Twittering is death on bacon, and its carcinogenic effects! Eggs seem to be not as bad as once thought. Coffee is nowadays thought to be good for you! Red wine is considered more healthful than white wine.
