"I heard from someone who works there, they were given the day off
with pay. The precedent showed up with his own audience and the press
was brought in AFTER they were settled into their seats. So all those

Is there any truth to this? Does anyone works at KSC want to comment
on this? Or is it just a bunch of BS?

There is only one (maybe 2) basic core reasons for humans to go
beyond LEO, That is for the establishment of space settlements or a
space based civilization. Everything else are details.

You didn't even mention how Buzz Aldrin had that GE Minigun aimed at
them in case they got out of line. ;-)

The news reports said 200 "invited guests" - the protest outside the cape
got minimal coverage by the liberal press.
