Stock Tip #4
#4 8-13-08 Just after selling ticker arex late today, bought 1850 shares of ticker swc (Stillwater Mining) at $6.93. Should've bought it yesterday. Looking for $8.20 ish by early next week. #1 8-6-08 Tomorrow my watch list will have tickers rbcn, mall and slw 8-13-08 Forgot all about slw, confused it with swc, it turned out to be another pretty one worth printing out. It's bounced 15% and still climbing. Play along if you dare! s |

Stock Tip #4 (results)

Looking for $8.20 ish by early next week. Sold it today at 6.89 for a three day loss of half a percent. Sometimes they don't bounce much. I generally give them three days or so at the bottom then bail. If they haven't bounced by then they usually don't. On this one it looks like the price of the stock is tied closely to palladium, and this company is being heavily shorted due to the recent large drop in palladium, once it turns around the shorts could be squeezed out and with a bang. It'll be worth watching this one for a while. There's nothing more exciting in trading than a short squeeze. A classic example is what just happened to ticker rdn. A one month price rise from one to four dollars. Somebody (else) made some dough on that one. Jonathan #3 8-13-08 Sold late today at $15.28 for a two day return of 8% (arex hit $15.50 on 8-13) #2 8-8-08 Sold very late today at $8.445 for a one day gain of 5% (mall hit $9.45 on 8-14) #1 8-6-08 Sold auth late today at $8.02, for a one day gain of 10% (auth hit $9.50 on 8-14) s |
