Chandra catches 'piranha' black holes

Supermassive black holes have been discovered to grow more rapidly in
young galaxy clusters, according to new results from NASA's Chandra X-
ray Observatory.

Probably examination of the X-ray energies emitted from the accretion
disk combined with doppler analysis to confirm the mass and rotational
characteristics. If the mass is greater than the Chandrasekhar Limit,
it's a black hole.
