Thanks Herb for the info. This scope is very interesting. If it turns out to be as good as they claim, I hope they eventually sell the OTA separately for those of us that would prefer to use our own mount. The problem, of course, is that there are components in the OTA that require active electronic control- focusing, collimation, the dew heater. While they seem to have provided part of that control in the OTA itself, it isn't clear that this isn't simply to limit the number of wires between the mount controller and the OTA.
