Thanks Herb for the info. This scope is very interesting.

If it turns out to be as good as they claim, I hope they eventually sell
the OTA separately for those of us that would prefer to use our own
mount.

The problem, of course, is that there are components in the OTA that
require active electronic control- focusing, collimation, the dew
heater. While they seem to have provided part of that control in the OTA
itself, it isn't clear that this isn't simply to limit the number of
wires between the mount controller and the OTA. It seems likely that
using this tube on another mount will not be possible, or at the least
will require some sort of external controller that doesn't exist right
now.
