It's true that there is no record of Einstein believing in unicorns.

However, it is said that the *ultimate* authority - at least if you live in
North Korea - believed that there were unicorns around the sacred Mount Paektu!

Oh, wait, a Google tells me that this was a mistake due to a mistranslation of
the word "Kiringul".

Chris, I wish I was capable of writing like this, you have outdone yourself with this Epistle. I will probably plagiarize some of your statements now and then, apologies in advance, but they are just too good not to share.

Thank you for your kind words, Paul. Praise on s.a.a is a rare thing indeed..

My post was composed "live" so badly needs editing. Sadly the fine art of précis has always evaded me by several AU.

Writing in proper paragraphs in Google Groups makes no sense at all. When I break the text down into reasonable paragraphs it always displays as long, silly stripes of text which have more in common with sheet music! ;-]

The burden is on you to educate yourself. Demanding evidence for
anything that is broadly accepted is unreasonable (outside a genuine
interest in being educated... and that pretty clearly does not
describe you). It makes you look as silly as demanding evidence for
evolution or for laws of gravitation.

It's old news that the Earth is warming. 12,000 years old. But
there's no evidence that humans are causing it.

There's very strong evidence for that, but it is merely circumstantial. Carbon
dioxide could cause a greenhouse event... and human industry has been burning a
lot of fossil fuels, causing a net input of carbon dioxide.
