Default St Ives- Interesting things to see tommorow

Hi all

If you want to see something interesting during daylight in your
scopes, point them towards St Ives in Cornwall tommorow (02 sept) 6am
till 6pm

2 Lunatics are attemting to take a Balloon the size of the empire
state building to an altitude of 25 miles.

Should be visible to the naked eye all over the UK if the clouds stay
away

St Ives is Lat N50:12:40 Lon W5:28:47

Bugger, I should have realised this when I posted it, St Ives is in
the West, where the sun is after midday, DO NOT POINT ANY SCOPE
ANYWHERE NEAR THE SUN!!!!!!!!!!!!! dont even look at it with the naked
eye.

We will all have to set up scopes on the Isles of Scilly, or would that just
be silly. Sorry ;-)

I would like to see it, but surely 25 miles up is no great height, an
elevation of 30% would surely only give a visible track of about 100 miles.

Of course I would expect it to head our way, so it might be possible.

Also if reflected sunlight is necessary, many of us would be in the wrong
direction more likely to be the oggies, I think.
