Default Re - O/T: Virus mascarading as Microsoft security patch.

a customer of mine recently purchased 5 pc for his office from Dell, here
are the specs:
128m RAM
2.2mh Celeron CPU
CDROM burner

Plus the usual DELL case and stuff.. the software included was XP Pro and
Office XP, total cost was around $380

I cant buy the software alone for that kind of money (it would cost me
around $450 or so).. MS must be giving an amazing deal to DELL to do this..
so why would DELL bother with Unix?

Try ordering a PeeCee with a non-misfot OS installed on it.

Wal Mart was selling them. Great story on USAToday about a year ago.

Was?

Might still be. I don't buy computers at Wal Mart so I don't keep up. Big
box retailer selling Intel machines with non-MS OS sorts shoots down your
argument.
