In April I began my search on info for the "Airborne Lightweight Optical
Tracking System" (ALOTS). It was for tracking and observing rocket launches
and reentries developed for Apollo. I got new interesting info on it.
The telescope was a 508 mm aperture / 5080 mm focal lenght system.
I assume it was a 20 inch f10 Celestron SCT.

All I know I put on

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User%3AAlots

for everyone to correct, add and edit. Some may like the technical
impressive ALOTS images of Apollo 7 and 11 I put there.

Did Celestron make a 20" scope? I thought the next size up from the
Celestron 14 was the Celestron 22 back then.

That link isn't coming up for me at the moment -- and seraching for
either "ALOTS" or "rborne Lightweight Optical" doesn't find the page,
either.

I'll check again later, I guess.

I just saw it got deleted after one hour (no idea why)

http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?...age=User:Alots

and moved to

If it gets deleted again I give up with "collaborative" wikipedia!

First one I flew was hung on 55-123, the fifth kc135 built. Think it is at
the Wright Pat museum with even different mods. As your article said is
was later also hung on the ARIA birds. Those were originally C-135A's.
Flew out of Patrick AFB.

Is there something still semi-classified about it?
That might be one reason it would get deleted.
