ASTRO: IC1311
IC 1311 is the open cluster to the upper left in this image. The image is
rotated by 180 degrees (south up, west left) as this is the direction pictures appear on my screen with the Atik383 camera and AstroArt. I liked this orientation better and kept it. I had some guidescope shifting which limited exposure times to 5 minutes. Taken from the middle of Berlin with a Skywatcher ED80 plus Skywatcher 0.85 reducer on a Skywatcher H-EQ5 Synscan mount, Atik 383L+ camera, Baader filters, 29x5 minutes Ha, 5 minutes each G and B. Combined to a Ha:Ha:G:B. This method does not show convincing Halpha-red, but at least I get star colours with only 10 minutes of additional exposure time compared to a "pure" Ha image. http://ccd-astronomy.de/temp4/IC1311coloursmallgut.jpg Stefan |
