There is nothing about Kerry that a conservative admires.

I suppose you should ask a conservative that.

That isn't necessary.

Yes, and though I'm not a conservative, it's a view with which I'd
find some sympathy if we weren't at war.

Kerry's better at war than Bush is, too.

How so?

Easy. If the US got in a war with Kerry as President, we'd all just
shoot ourselves in the foot, give ourselves Purple Hearts and go home.

That would seem to make the armed forces less effective.

2. Kerry is, in the mold of Conservatives Americans can admire.

That definition is obsolete. In American politics today liberal means
socialist.

A goal Kerry has been working for since he was *in* the armed forces.

From this side of the pond, the 'American Heritage' Dictionary
appears somewhat slanted in it's definition of the term - liberal.
- bloody hell- our _street_ has more heritage than America having
been laid down by the Romans!!

'liberal' irregular adverb

I am liberal
You are broad-minded
He is bigoted.

The Guardian is liberal
The Sun is broad - page 3 -minded
The Telegraph is bigoted.

It does. But don't take my word for it, visit America and see for yourself.

By that logic, then conservative means facist.
