Camping at OSP

I am squeezing brains (just in time for Halloween!)in regards to
camping at star parties. For those who have camped at OSP:

#1. Do folks all camp with their vehicles or drop off their stuff and
park in a lot? (Was it good or bad for you? Which is preferred among
astronomers who go to large star parties?)

#2. How does camping work with doing dishes and disposing of grey
water?

At the OSP some folk camp down by the trees and leave the scope set up
in the main observing field. Others camp by their scope on the main
observing field.

Camping down by the trees will give you a little shade so you can get
more sleep in the mornings.

I believe that only tents and pop up campers are allowed under the
trees. RV's have to remain next to the road on the main observing
field or in the late arrivial parking lot.

#2. How does camping work with doing dishes and disposing of grey
water?

All grey water is stored in my grey water tank which I dispose of in
Prineville or the ranger station on the way out. (pack out what you
pack in).

Enough services are provided at the OSP so you do not even have to
cook if you do not want to. Just bring plenty of water, Ice, beer and
$$$ for the meals. Myself, I just cook my own.
