Indeed, it is Gerald that must have the celestial sphere counter-rotate for the stars to be back in place earlier than one complete revolution of the Earth.

As with astronomy, there are many paths to enlightenment.

Yuk !

wsnell01 asked:

What do you have against enlightenment?

quadibloc interjected:

Enlightenment is good. But perhaps the idea that there are many paths to it
is a problem.

wsnell01 asked:

So you are saying that is a "right way" to learn about astronomy?

Pontificate, oh Pedantic One. I'll go make popcorn.

quadibloc responded, apparently in defense of the birdman:

No, just that he might have been concerned about the attitude that there were
many ways to enlightenment being extended into other fields instead of astronomy.

(peterson, is that you?)

Perhaps either you or birdman could give us a valid example of a hobby or a field where there is only one path to enlightenment? (Excluding such things as medicine, plumbing or hairdressing where education or licensure are required.)

No, actually he is wrong, as usual, and of course so are you, palsing.

This is how USENET works... someone posts something, anybody can respond.

You are nobody, palsing, so don't respond, jerk.

You are not worth talking to, you are a complete pile of rotting protoplasm, just a simple slime mold...

Since that's your OPINION, then we'll hear nothing further from you?

Please, don't speak unless spoken to...

If you can ever think of something important to say, palsing, then and only then should you consider posting. Otherwise, shut up.

For the Google record, I said "**** you, snell".

This is how USENET works... someone posts something, anybody can respond.

Which is what I am doing, asshole...

You are nobody, palsing, so don't respond, jerk.

True, I am a nobody, but you are even less, being somewhat less than the mold on my shoe leather.

You are not worth talking to, you are a complete pile of rotting protoplasm, just a simple slime mold...

No, I think that is more fact than opinion.

If you only had important things to say, then no one here would have heard from you in years.

Gerald is exactly right, "Your need approaches an illness"

You are obviously quite proud of your foul language and low IQ.

This is how USENET works... someone posts something, anybody can respond.

Which is what I am doing, "*******."

You might try posting something intelligent for once, palsing. You would probably need to plagiarize, though.

That is quite obvious.

You are not worth talking to, you are a complete pile of rotting protoplasm, just a simple slime mold...

No, actually it is OPINION, since slime molds do not have EMail accounts.

But I DO have important things to say and I post them. You should not be posting at all, palsing.

Gerald is exactly right, "Your need approaches an illness"

What "need" is that? Earlier, quadibloc posted something that sounded reminiscent of the sort of garbage that peterson spews. One might therefore have assumed that one is a sock-puppet of the other.
