So just where will the $ come from for anything space related with SS
being cut by 1/3?

The two are totally unrelated.

Oh, really? *So how can we still have human space flight NOW, then,
since this will hardly be the first time (IF it actually happens) that
social security benefits have been cut?

But not what you said. *You said "the voters will never stand by and
let congress fund human space flight while congress cuts social

and we still have congress funding human space flight.

Now you want to attempt a stealth drag of the goalposts?

cut by 1/3 isnt cutting its slash and burning benefits.

with such a dramatically large cut younger people may not want to
continue paying.

the uninhabitible for 1000 years is chernobyl

Which would never happen in the west, because we don't use that design.
The Russians also decided not to build anymore reactors with the same
design.

yeah but spent core storage pools are in not hardened steel buildings
like standard streel business buildings and contain many times the
amount of fuel released in chernobyl.

reactors are at least in containment but not the waste core pools

Irrelevant, since those weren't conditions in your original statement.
They also haven't happened yet and I wouldn't hold my breath waiting
for it.

Means testing won't mean much, since you pay taxes on your SS now
based on your 'means'. *

government has no choice but to cut spending.... dramatically. the
last 30 years economy was a fake, and they knewit all along. well fake
finally collapsed......

perhaps your job will see a zero budget? i mean rather than cut space
travel, lets cut the military..

which honestly must be cut too......

And if there is a real possibility of the government being shut down
shouldn't we bring our military home while we still have money.

Most of that fuel has cooled enough to be more manageable. *Just what
do you think is going to damage a steel and concrete liner multiple
feet thick that is let into the ground?

reactors are at least in containment but not the waste core pools

Because they don't need to be. *They're simply not that dangerous,
despite your repeated ignorant attempts to claim that they are.
