Default Falcon 9 flight aborted before launch. Dragon ends its second flight.


Yesterday's Falcon 9 flight was aborted before launch due to a GNC
issue. SpaceX will try gain today (at about 7:30 p.m. eastern time).

A Dragon capsule ended its second flight today by splashing down in the
ocean. As far as I know, this is the first US built orbital capsule
flown more than once, so this is yet another one for the record books.
Of course, the X-37B has flown copies of its winged orbiter more than
once, as did the space shuttle (duh!). The only other country to refly
a capsule more than once was Russia with its VA capsule. Cite:

Previously a Gemini capsule flew twice, but both flights were
suborbital. The first was a suborbital test for Gemini (Gemini 2) and
the second flight was a USAF flight to test the "hatch in the
heatshield" design for MOL. Both flights were successful. Cite:
